7 GOOD REASONS FOR
ADULTS TO TAKE UP KICKBOXING
1. Kickboxing gives you more benefits than any health club
2. From a one hour workout you can burn off as much as 800
calories and nothing can come close to that.
3. Punches, kicks and stretching exercises can give you a great
muscle tone without the need to lift weights. You will get a
tight bum, toned legs, flat stomach and a strong upper body.
4. Stress relief - this is a major benefit, our students tell us that
this is one of the top reasons, they can’t get enough of
kickboxing.
5. Because of the mental strength that kickboxing develops,
students get so absorbed in the class that their problems seem
a million miles away and they can think clearer, sharper and
with more confidence than ever before.
6. Also a major benefit is flexibility, this gives you better blood
circulation and a more relaxed overall lifestyle.
7. Self confidence - when you look good, you feel good, we all
know that. Imagine adding, and I know that I can take care of
myself, the the equation. There is no better feeling than
knowing you’re in shape and you can defend yourself if the
time ever came.
KICKBOXING AND CHILDREN
A psychological study found that children taking part in martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks along with a high self esteem. This is why millions of parents are using martial arts to supplement their children's education.
Most children need to channel their aggression in a positive not negative way and kickboxing will do this. By doing kickboxing they will learn essential self defence skills.
Our program teaches practical proven self defence methods. We also teach the children that the moves they learn in class will work, and make sure they do not go home and try them out on dad, family and friends!
Adam has developed friendly but firm rules of behaviour in class and he expects the same behaviour at home, in school and in the community.
Our grading is the key to building self esteem, when they earn their belts, it gives them a great sense of accomplishment, which really improves the way they feel about themselves.
With more confidence, self esteem and the knowledge that they are a member of a great club, they will be better kids all round.
Last but not least they are a member of a team so they learn the art of social skills and how to work together for the good of their team mates and the club.
